The Hive brings you authentic made in New Zealand products. Our little store is situated in heart of Pirongia, in the beautiful Waikato. We sell Made in New Zealand products and pride ourselves on 'supporting local'. We are passionate about providing a wonderful space for local New Zealand Artisans to showcase their wares for all to enjoy.
Everything in our online store is designed, created, crafted or printed right here in New Zealand. It can be hard to navigate what is actually made in New Zealand with so many designers now manufacturing their wares off shore. We take the guess work out of it, we are keeping it real and supporting local.

Shereen has held a life long dream of owning her own business. Having been taught to sew and knit by her mother, an amazing dress maker, Shereen began to frequent markets and pop up shops selling her hand made wares. Seeking a more permanent base for her business, when the opportunity came to lease The Hive in November 2020, she jumped at it!
Part of Shereens ethos is her love of New Zealand made products. Her desire to promote and support our wonderful country and communities cements this. Her vision is to maintain The Hive as an eclectic shop, a wonderful hub for the Pirongia community; building relationships and providing great service.
'The Hive's' name is derived in part by the previous use of the building being a honey shop and the quaint nature of the little building itself. Shereen continues to sell honey and bee products.
